‘09 Electric Onroad Nationals

The 2009 Australian National Titles were held over the weekend of 19th-22nd November. With over 150 Entries it had promissed to be a string contested event… and it delivered. The competition was not the only thing that was hot… with air temps above the 40 Degree Celcius mark for most of the weekned. Smoked motors and thermaling ESC’s were the norm, everyone gearing down to keep the tems as low as possible.

Team Corally were strong once again with Ari Bakla (TQ), Simon Nicholson (3rd) and Jake Zarb (5th) making the Amain final. Ari was hot all weekend, setting TQ and winning the first two finals to wrap up the win, this giving  Corally   4 straight National Title wins in the Modified class. Simon Nicholson (defending Champion) finishing a strong third, while Jake after a strong 3rd place finish in the first main, suffered traffic and tweak issues for the last two finals placing.
